just got back from the dealer.he confirmed build week 46 and should have car 3rd week in november.xenons was main reason car was taking so long.just to piss me off he had the companys demo car parked next to us in the showroom(rising blue just like mine!).ordered the metal pedals while i was there and the salesman has offered to pay for them. .so now i have to sit and wait and keep reading this forum and be dead jealous of you guys who have your cars. .take care guys of your motors and keep up the good work on the forum.

dealer confirmed week 42 and is aiming for 31 october, made worse whilst sat next to a rising blue one in the showroom this morning sorting out the gti pirelli (vw have supplied them a showroom model vw own and they cannot sell, i had to ask) may go back to 41 so covering those bases, the rising blue one in the showroom had generated more interest, the guy who has ordered the week before me with cloth and black saw it and wanted to swap to rising blue and leather, small problem being they had made his last week.....
can I ask, has anyone asked their dealers to see what dealer stock is sitting around as theres a guy on tyresmoke who goes by the name robsales and he says that most dealers should be getting at least one stock car, that was about 2 weeks ago when I picked mine up. I have not checked myself but if this is the case then some of you may be able to get into a roc quicker albeit at the possibility of compromising on spec. Just a thought as I got into my car by virtue of one of my local dealers knowing I wanted to test a DSG rocco and they had one delivered. I test drove it the day after it arrived off the transporter and took delivery within a week.
I can imagine the wait for those who have ordered is killing you, I waited best part of 6 months for my GTi but the wait was well worth it.
Taken delivery : Silver, DSG, NAV, Black Leather, Park Sensors, Winter pack.
Mods: Full Milltek, KW lowering springs,Wheel Spacers, Remapped to 258BHP, 405Nm
i think the wait gets worse when you know it has been built, in reality it is going to arrive as the dealer thought and dates suit me, other half managed to poach the dealers gti pirelli and change the spec to her so always new it was quicker
My build week was 38 and status has been 'awaiting delivery' from 22nd September. Dealer is waiting for it to show up.
Put a deposit on mine in March so has been a long wait.
Still got to sell my A3 too whihc has been on Autotrader for 2 weeks with only a couple of calls.
Anyone know of anywhere else i could try and sell it as the p ex value is so low!
Its a 56 plate S-Line A3, DSG in Dolphin Grey.
dan, i've pm'd you with some info which may be of use, in summary petrol a3s are suffering (3.2s are worse) and gti residuals are far better in comparison (ironic), autotrader worked for me but you have to stick with it
just had a call from my dealer, my build week 40 car is still awaiting shipping, he spoke to VW central, and they said it should get on a ship this weekend, so should have it tues/wednesday
seems a batch of week 40 rising blues waiting to be shipped, will be a long week as disappear on holiday next week and not looking forward to my 1.2 corsa hire car when i return
