I popped in to the dealer this morning on my way in to town. In the showroom they had two blue Rs, one on 19s, one on 18s, both still with protective sheets and polystyrene bumper guards. One labelled as Stock, the other as Sold.

Turns out the sold one is mine! It only took two days from dockside to dealer. Having said I was going to wait for the new plate, I decided that if they'd chuck in the gap I would take the car this month. So Friday is now the end of my MINI adventure and the beginning of dub life for me. I'm reading the instruction book right now, then I'll have to brave the gales and get the MINI a bit more presentable.

Motorline Tunbridge Wells have got a White DSG R already in the showroom with pano roof. The new blue one was manual I think, both of them on 19s

Look forward to seeing the pick up day pics next week!

That'll be another RB R on the roads then! Coming thick and fast now (wahey!!)

I am no longer "sill waiting". My RB R is parked outside right now. A photo is in the delivery room. Yay.

Dealer called with my reg and said car en route to them (was a build week 6) and expected collection is 10th March. Lot of BW5 and 6ers very close now.

I was BW6 and the car is due in to the dealer today or tomorrow. Going to collect next week so it will be an 11 plate - oh the irony of deciding to delay collection!

Just heard from my dealer today my Roc R is on the transporter from the docks today will be with me very soon ..

Hahaha, its been a sleepless week!

I'll look out for the burble, so to speak.

Luckily, ill only be using my R at the weekends and the odd evening during the week so my fuel costs are pretty low!

Posted a small thread in 'Delivery Room' for those interested!

Ordered mine on December 30th. Contacted dealer yesterday to see if i had an estimated build week yet given the initial delivery estimate of July 20th. Was pleasantly surprised when they rang back today to say it was already built and waiting at the docks to be shipped and should be with me in April.

I finally collect my new toy next Monday - can't wait! Only seven months from order....! I've had a Passat diesel courtesy car for the last month - decent, but not a driver's car, like my previous RX-8 was or my new R will be.

I get mine Thursday 1130hrs. 7 months 4 days after placing the order. Cant wait.

Took delivery of my R yesterday.

100 mile drive home - wow!

BW12 , salesman called ,car in "transit status" now,anybody knows if they are transferred with a cargo ship or train? (destination Greece)..regards!
