Enabled a number of VCDS functions, most important of which was XDS. Also changed some lighting options as well as headlight wash frequency for the winter.
Not entirely sure if they are all working as its a gash OBD lead but we'll see. The XDS enabling was worth the £40 quid tbh.

You can call it the Batcave, but it's not located in the U.K. I live and work in Bucharest, Romania.
The weird narrow tyre is just part of the winter setup that I have... Steel 16" inch wheels. Narrow, but excelent on fresh snow/ice.

Followed up with RCD330+ head unit installed, very happy with the outcome http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 02#p205502
I need to do this!I have a spare MK6 GTI wheel without buttons but my scirocco has MFSW.

Will my MK6 wheel have the plugs behind the airbag?

ok technically not "Today" (it was Sunday).

Finally got round to replacing all 4 main speakers with JBL 165mm 2-way jobs, spliced in stock tweeters front/rear (man what a task it is getting to the rears) fitted CS stalk adaptor so i can use my Pioneer Dab double din and steering controls and whacked in a JBL 12" sub cab and GX series mono sub amp in boot (pro wired 8 gauge) post 780a battery upgrade.

Sounds immense. :)

Had OEM Bluetooth Module & Foam fitted along with RNS 510 DAB. I know I could have got a more up to date system but I wanted it period correct (it's a 2010 model). Fitted rear cup holder and tomorrow having a few dents from previous owner removed. Washed it too.

Fitted the covered cup holder in the centre console today. What a ballache, but it's in now and is much better than the original open cup holder.

Had powerflex poly bushes fitted to front wishbones & rear lower springs, replaced sidelight bulbs. Noticed that one sidelight has condensation, is there a fix for this or is it a case of buying a new one?

Fitted a covered stowage compartment as I didn't want to fit the ashtray. The hardest part was removing the white clip that holds the wiring to the underside of the stowage moulding. Then I realised that I forgot to cut a hole in the bulb holder to allow the compartment to be illuminated so had to take it out again

It's a complete assembly, not the ashtray with a different insert. Search the web for 5K0857961A 9B9 to see what I mean. I had to buy the surround, lid cover and rubber mat separately. Got them from Deutsche Parts, cheaper than VW and genuine parts.

Good luck with the covered cup holder, it's a bit of a pain but worth it.
