No huge update, just lots of prep ahead of next weekend as the car will be in the bodyshop. Front bumper is being resprayed, DRL's wired in properly and potentially smoothed bonnet too (time dependent).

Those who have done the R bumper upgrade will know how much of a pain it is to find DRL's with indicators, as the standard ones that come with the aftermarket kits are prone to condensation/failing after 6-12 months... anyway, (influenced by AndyAlex) I got a local company to fully reseal the units so im hoping they will last a little longer...



I also purchased a cup holder upgrade, influenced by Benny1703 (can you tell i'm easily influenced yet?)



Along with some LED reverse bulbs, you guessed it, influenced again. This time by PhilJay92:



Plus a replacement R tail light as mine started to condensate and I'm a picky bugger. No influences here - Winner winner chicken dinner.



Exciting times ahead, 3 weeks until Rotiform's go on too!

Ha I usually get blamed for cup holders! Haven't bought my reverse bulbs yet, but may have to before weekend

Where did you order the carbon mirror caps from and are you happy with the fit and finish?

Thanks mate! The ones I've bought are just covers so they will stick over my current ones unfortunately I'll take you up on the offer of helping with the cup holder though, it seems like a proper ball ache hahaha!

Do it! They make such a difference, not sure why I didn't bother buying them sooner to be honest haha. I'll get some pics up of them soon.

Thanks man, glad you like it! I haven't fitted the caps yet but keep an eye out after the weekend - I'm due to fit them on Sunday so I'll put a post up with how they fit etc afterwards


Small update...

Cars dropped off at the bodyshop until Sunday, absolutely can't wait to pick it up! This little treat arrived today too - I'll hopefully be fitting it Sunday







I'm over the moon with it, it looks so good in person I can't even begin to describe how happy I am! Fitted pics to follow soon...

Car is back from the bodyshop for stage 1 of its makeover!
It had the following work carried out:
Front bumper respray, smoothed washer jet holes, wire in DRL units, replaced door strips with genuine to improve fitment/shut lines, door sills repainted to get rid of scratches.

It is booked back in for the rear bumper next month - then it should be complete! Here are some pics of how the front currently stands. I am so happy with it, it also fits a hell of a lot better than my previous one





I've just ordered a couple more goodies too, I'll upload pics when they arrive! Spoiler is due to be fitted this weekend too

Today my LED reverse bulbs arrived. I was never really fussed about upgrading these but I did so anyway, and wow. What a difference! They look a million times better and modern, a must do mod for all of you who haven't done it yet. Here are some pics...

I've also spent every evening this week waxing the rotiforms. They're almost done now; ready to be fitted at the weekend weather permitting. Woohooooo!!!

So for a while now I've thought one of my rear wheel bearings were going. Horrible whirring noise that was getting worse and worse every time I drove the car. Yesterday I had chance to drop it into my local garage who took a look for me - long story short, it wasn't the bearing. The n/s rear tyre had worn so much from camber wear it had bulges in the tyre... not ideal!

It left me no choice but to put the summer wheels on, so tonight (for those who haven't already seen on facebook!) this happened:
