Irvysan wrote: Where can I get an install such as this, it's very nice

We had a company called 'Flying Sparks' down here in the depths of Cornwall do all the work for us.

They did the complete install from start to finish over a number of weeks (I think it took approx 40-50 hours to do the full install).

As we were in no rush for it to be completed they fitted us in when they could around their main jobs, they built the custom box and shelf, installed the front mids, tweets and crossovers (hidden away out of sight), installed the sub and soundproofed where necessary.

The only request we gave them was to still have a useable boot once everything was in place.

If we ever decide to sell the Roc :faint: all of the original parts can go back in as if the car was never touched.

They do very impressive work and the chap that owns it knows everything about pretty much any car.

The best thing to do is Google (other search engines are available ;)) car audio installers and see if you can visit them to see some of their work and get quotes on your preferred install preference.

Would love a sub in my car.
Had subs in my old car and loved the xtra bass. I would also want it off the factory head it like yours. Maybe one day. How much did that set you back if you don't mind me asking? Pm if you want.
In total we spent about £1000 on the installation work alone

Broken down 1k consists of:

Soundproofing (I think in the boot and front doors, but may be elsewhere)
Custom Box (to fit in spare wheel footwell)
Custom false floor
Carpet
HPF thingy to run the amp through the speaker outputs (as we wanted to keep the original headunit)
Labour costs - majority of the cost (we had a great deal as we know the chap quite well)

We already had the Sub, Amp, Front Speakers & Wiring Kit and the most important bit - the bass adjustment control knob (A must have i can assure you).

The total cost for these when new was around £12-1500

Its well worth the cost considering the sound difference.

I always try to buy sensibly, I would rather go without something for a few extra months and save for better quality parts than buy the first thing I come across

Just purchased some CREE Cambus LED Extremely Bright Sidelight bulbs from Hids-Direct. Can't wait to fit them and see how good they look.

Decided to put a roof rack on the car along with a bike rack.
Think it makes the car look pretty nice as well.
What are your thoughts?

Also had some extra tint put on the front windows. Can't really tell from the pictures.

Took her to the local ding dresser to get rid of all the door dings (or most of them) on all the side panels, and get rid of a bumper scuff that some sod created (in a car park) 2 years ago.
Then I gave her a clean on Saturday.... LOVELY! Tail pipes got a clean too, but forgot to take pics

It feels brilliant! But it brings back all the anxiety when you go into car parks :(.

I was parked in tesco on the sunday and I found a bay right at the end of the row... Parked there and a massive 4x4 was next to me when I got back to my car!!! I spent ages checking out the panel to make sure there wasn't a new ding; I couldnt quite convince myself either. I dont miss that bit of ding-freeness lol

Drained my washer fluid as it had gone stinky & manky. This is cutting edge detailing !
I'm told treating with Milton is the way to clean the system, clean on the inside clean on the outside

Oh and booked W in for his MOT Thursday at the stealers

As for parking in supermarkets etc I always adopt one rule when leaving my boy out in public

Park as far away from the shop (people are basically lazy) and always take an end. That way you can only get dinged on one side

left him in comfort and d for the first 100 miles or so then slowly worked up through normal - sport and from d to flappies. 2:30am when i got home, empty roads. bloody love my car and that dsg box.

Nice.

I had a week off last week and me and the other half went to alton towers. I drove and it was a 200 mile round trip from start to finish. 90% of it was motorway and dual carriageways. I averaged 65 mpg going there. And Duno coming back. And Of course I was sticking to the speed limit. ;) ;) :shake:
