Yes - so you have the cheap cruise option - not too sure exactly what dealers are quoting these day but it used to be about £120.
I found out my car is 2009 week 40, so does this mean if I change sw module will I be able to have the later single stalk cruise option? also I will be fitting the a mf steering wheel, will all the part numbers (module, cruise stalk & mfsw) have to coinside?

Matt
yours is pre week 45 so the cheap cruise control, install instructions on roccopedia for that one
http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/roccop ... se_Control" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you only need to replace one stalk, the post week 45 cars have both stalks on one ring attached to each other which amongst other things make them more expensive to fit. you do not need an updated software module.
as a side note if you fit a mfsw it will not work as you do not have the highline computer.
fyi to those saying vw is still 'testing' the post week 45 cruise retrofit, my personal opinion is they haven't formally released it because it costs more for them to install than the previous so you may be waiting for an official release for a long time yet.

I agree - they just cant be bothered with it (although some VW dealerships can be persuaded) - and are happy to leave it to the independents.....

Being a newbie Ive managed to find another question for you guy's
Soz. I have been looking on EBAY and I have found the following stalk, will this be okay or will I need to find out the part number of my sw module first before I go out and buy a new stalk?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-RANGE-INCL ... 27ce23f5f5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Cruise Control Stalk for your Wk40/09 is VW part no. 1K0 953 513G. Aug'08 to Wk44 Nov'09 fit.
The Ebay auction reads as a pattern type, not VW original. Nothing wrong in that if you are not bothered about it being a non VW part.
Wiil go straight on with VCDS coding.

My dealer is prepared to install it for me (2012 car) for £300 inc VAT. Not sure if they are eager for more customers at that price but will ask them when I am there on Friday....

Hello guys.
Again a question concerning the cruise control mod on a MY 2011 Rocco.
I was lookin on ebay for the steering module and I found this one:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-AUDI-Steuerge ... #vi-ilComp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is partnr. 5K0953569H
As far as I read in this topic, I guess this is the right module for my car; or am I wrong?
Someone who can clear this out for me please?
Much appreciated!
Thanks!
Regards Jarno

Without going through the whole thread
Will a 2010 Scirocco R, without cruise, require the slip ring?
Thanks

yes
new stalks, new slip ring, and VCDS coding
this:

has all the information you'll ever need. It's amazing what a bit of searching can do
