@Faigy,Thanks for the info.

They have not got back to me regarding my enquiry, but I just checked the Hadwin website and the £11,995 car is now at £16,995!

Wonder if they will get in touch?

Yeah I noticed that price had gone up when I had a nosey, they must have made a mistake putting it on at 11,995?!

How annoying, but yes - that has been priced well beyond its true worth! Would not surprise me if that is the kind of figure that would have been offered as a PX.

I agree, esp considering the council spec!

Again I'm with you on that. I'll bet the p/x price they paid for it will have been the £11995, so they're only on target for £5k mark up, minus a bit of haggle.

And they've still not replied to my enquiry made through the uk VW website. You'd think they would mail me to explain the mistake (and possibly give me a far better trade in price to compensate me for getting my hopes up!) but no, no word.

That is really poor they have not replied, I once emailed about a car (not VW) about 3 years ago, I am still waiting - LOL.

What annoys me, they say times are hard, recession and all that yet they are in no hurry to respond to your enquiry!

It is quite simple, if a dealer does not reply to your enquiry forget them!

Not meaning to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but seems like I got a good bargain for mine back in February this year. I did PX my entry level 2004 Golf to start off and got my 2.0 TSI Scirocco GT for £15,000 from a VW dealership. It was an ex-demo model, 60 plate, 8000 miles, good extras.

I think it depends where you buy from, and to show a keen interest and just see how far you can haggle and barter for.

Turning up in person always carries the most weight - especially at less busy times!
