What "new" part number? I think dealers talk a lot of baloney with respect to the seven speed dsg.

I suspect that tremble is just an inherent design issue with dry clutches and their shift points in D mode. I certainly wouldn't drive my manual vehicle like D mode drives in my car for some slow speed situations.

Agree that the 'tremble' is likely down to as you describe. Anything more than this, i.e. a judder, can be resolved through software updates and/or clutch changes, though I agree that (across the VW range) no-one really seems to have got the bottom of the issue.

5/11/2013 is the latest DSG7 Clutch Pack....
Every year they design new clutch pack, success !
