Oh God Kev I hope those concept images are wrong. It would be a massive mistake and a backwards step if they do become the next Scirocco.

how can any of you be shocked at this,have you all not seen what they have done recently with the passat,jetta,tiguan etc,vw are slowly going down the ugly as s--t road, sorry to say people,but the roc beginning to age v badly from rear end also, i hate to think what imminent facelift will be like.

Like someone already said ..it looks kinda copycat type R and the polo look alike looks like Audi A2

That concept is actually called the Tex
Twin Drive hybrid plug-in built by Volkswagen. It combines a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that works in tandem with an 85-kW (114-hp / 116-PS). The Tex features all-electric capabilities allowing it to travel 35 kilometers without using conventional fuel.
Combined, the system delivers up to 400 Nm (295 ft-lb) of torque. With a seven-speed Direct Shift transmission, the driver can get the car from 0-100 km/h in a bit over six seconds. Top speed on the model is 220 km/h (137 mph).

Apparently the Tex is Polo sized, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief (I have to say it really does look like #$%$).

That would maybe figure with the news of a 'Mini Scirocco' Polo rumours a while back...
After all MINI are taking out a Coupe too.

This is in this weeks Auto express.Its ok folks,its not a new roc. Its giugiaros Tex concept.The same length as the original scirocco,3.9metres. Ours is 4.3metres.It might be built to slot in below the roc.The engine sounds interesting tho,Twindrive hybrid 1.4 turbo and electric,237bhp, 0-62 in 6secs.
