Well at least we get to see what white rims look like on a rising blue chugster, and i think it looks nice  btw just a general question to all: if it snows that much and the tempertures are very low isnt that bad for the engine as well as the electronics? I mean wont some things crack due to the cold weather (ie plastic tubes, etc)?

thats why they do winter testing programs before production and full release to market!!!

:)

but yes...white rims on RB is not too bad eh!

But the winter wheels are likely to be Anthracite in colour, in 8x18 size.

Having cleared my pile of snow off the Scirocco's roof using watering can and luke warm water, to avoid the paint being scratched. This morning the Scirocco has decided to grow a stubble beard!

Feck me its dodgy out there in the MK area. The execs needed their lunch fetching from local M&S. Normally the PA will go get it herself. FD comes out to ask me if I can go in company VW. I said I'll go if I have the MDs 525D with recently fitted M+S spec tyres as he needs to drive to Germany for Xmas.

Still took us an hour to do a round trip that normally takes 15mins. Roads were just shocking. Not gritted and not ploughed. Gotta say even the Mud & Snow were slipping about.

Think they are a more all season type tyre rather than a proper winter tyre like the vredestein wintrac.

The R made it home at least.

I know what you mean Scott, thing is the car must have been stood a good 4/5 hours before it started snowing. I would have thought the engine would have been well and truly cold.
