I generally reapply when I wash the car through the worst bit of the winter. One pleasant side effect of using the 3 in 1 is that it transfers onto the glass without smearing and then throughout the year when it rains the water just runs straight off.

I had "fun" last winter; with average temperatures of minus 7 I thought I'd have trouble getting in the car so decided to keep some anti-freeze in the boot, only to find that my boot had frozen shut too...

1st frost of the winter up here this morning (- 2C) and the driver's window operated as normal however I shall definately be getting Gummifledge or Krtox as mentioned earlier in this thread.
I've also got a set of rubber mats on order from the dealer.
I have also been looking at a set of steel wheels and winter tyres but I don't know if I can justify the £400+

^ yeh i had a frost this morning and all opened fine, i have ordered some Krotex from my local TPS and will be picking it up tomorrow hopefully , i also have ordered a set of winter tyres but i am sticking to the original size as i hate the Rocco with small rims on it :-)

for the silicone spray. Windscreen and rear screen frozen this morning, but door windows all fine for opening/closing.

I guess you are right, otherwise why windows dont go up when re-closed? If so, there is actually no need for silicone luke or gummipflege etc, applying de-icer on the lower glass bottom seal should work fine? Thanks for the advice, it is literally the 1st winter for my Roc, just worried about the window will freeze and stuck if covered by snow.
