i am assuming its a switch so chances are you could do it yourself

Interesting FAQ section on this site about driving abroad.
It claims their beam adjusters are suiatable for use on Xenon lights. At £8 a pair it's probably cheaper and more convinent than visiting a VW garrage.

I can answer this....nope!
I can't see a switch either to simply make the change - the hand book says consult a stealer.

I've actually got some of these kicking around as I was going to use them on my Exige last year when we went to Le Mans.
It says option 2 for a standard light but nothing specially for Xenon lamps (whereas other models specifically say which to use if they have Xenon lamps). When you offer them up to the lamp it all seems a bit too curved to possibly work however, I might just stick them on if to nothing other than to show willing and if stopped say I had them changed at the dealer but it somehow didn't work so applied stickers.

Apologies for digging up an old thread. Currently looking into this as I’m heading over to Germany to be based there with the forces.
Went to a dealer today and they said that they’d need to replace the front and rear lamps and change the instrument cluster to add Kph. Told me if I had a German car and wanted it doing in the UK it would cost about £2k... Or if I come back to refit all the British driving bits again about £400...
I asked about adding xenons but he said adding them would just mean it was even more expensive to replace them rather then me being able to change it from the MFD.
Has anyone actually been through the process of getting their car to BFG standards?
