If you find yourself forced into a tight space becuase it's the only space left in the car park, sliding your seat back and opening your window makes it much easier to slide out. If you return and the original car is still next to you use the open windows feature on the remote. I find the open window (because it is frameless) definitely helps when you can't open the door too far.

I hadn't noticed this feature,is it a matter of press and hold the 'unlock' button?

Yep. Likewise the windows will go up when you press and hold the lock button on the key.

Hadn't thought of doing that. Good idea.

All these recommendations to ditch the sponge and chamois leather and yet in places like Halfords all car washing kits contain a sponge and a fake or real leather chamois. Having read most of the cleaning procedures listed in those links it becomes a right faff on. I like look after my car and other items of value in my house etc because I respect my property but I couldn't go to those lengths despite them obviously being 'best practice'. I have never heard of claying before I joined this froum either.

Yea I tend to agree with you but you can do it on the easy side. Just get one of those all in one cleaner/waxer like this,

Then just get yourself a microfiber cloths and one of those super plush drying towels. Think that is what I will be doing but when I pick up my car will get it a professional new car prep done on it. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong about this.

guys can we please keep the detailing chat to the detailing section.
it has been discussed in the detailing section on all in one products etc to use should you not wish to go to such extents which is the case for plenty of people.
