From memory, if you pull up on a hill, foot on brake, in gear clutch depressed. When you take foot off brake it holds you for a couple of seconds. Will roll back after this time!!

Hi,

I tried to use it but wasn't to impressed as it lets got too early in my view. Hand brake more reliable!! Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

There is a bit of adjustment possible in the Brakes Controller 03 using VCDS diagnostics "Adaption".

Mine with DSG it is set to 1.

In my controller firmware it didn't appear to change when set to other values, but thats a MY2010 ABS brakes unit. Later MY2011/2012 may respond.

Is it possible to adjust the hill-hold assist any further?

I was stuck in traffic today on an upwards incline, stop start, for about an hour  Very tiring all that braking, handbrake, neutral, first gear, handbrake off.. ad nauseum. The hill hold was working for the 2 seconds. I know this is only supposed to be an aid to help those unable to drive properly and pull off on an incline, but it would be good if the hill-hold would stay applied until the clutch bites and you pull off. The constant applying/deapplying the handbrake and some clutch riding aint too good.

**EDIT** ahh, just seen your screenshot RW1, maybe changing this setting to "2" will do roughly what I'm after
