Hi all,
I put my chassis number into the VW site and because my car was registered in september 2009 I think I am safe. One thing I have noticed is that a few times my car has 'stalled'. It has happened about 5 times in about 10 months but more recently yesterday I was waiting on a little verge to get into a car park. I had to restart it and it worked fine. Is this part of the DSG recall? should automatic cars 'stall'?
Cheers.

Re: DSG recall notice
DSG box's should never stall. Sept 09 first reg would mean the car was built in august at the latest putting your car inside the recall window....

Re: DSG recall notice
Just had the car checked by VW Cheltenham. They couldnt find a fault with anything. They did a manual test and hooekd the laptop to the car and couldnt find any error messages. How very odd.
