Scirocco Central

Could be.......Hawco are 1 of the UKs oldest VW dealers so maybe get special treatment

That made me chuckle When I enquired about an R from Hawco back in Nov the salesperson didn't even know they existed

Smith Kinght Fay had 3 Golf R's delivered couple of weeks ago....I've ordered my Roc R from there, they not expecing any Roc demo's at all...mind you, the sales guy said they weren't expecting the Golf's so there's hope.........i so want to see a Roc R in Rising blue, I hope one appears somewhere soon

tried to test drive one today at SKF was told I could wait as there was another customer infront of me wanting a Test Drive, 20 mins later was told that the Car had been sold and that Customer had paid a deposit for it :/

had a good look round it and sit in it, nothing unexpected, looks and fells like a MK 5.5 golf or series 2 MK5, gutted that I haven't driven one yet be nice to compare it to my R32.

Which SKF are we talking about??? They are 3 in South Manc iirc. Been Stockport and only found an ABT Golf GTi. Mind you I had other problems to sort yesterday.

I think they are at the Bolton branch...I've ordered mine from Bury SKF so haven't seen the Golf, might take a trip down to Bolton maself tomorrow.

I was at the one in stockport on saturday

I popped over to Bolton yesterday armed with my camera, but couldnt see any Golf R's...they were really busy and I didnt get to ask any of the sales guys there where it was stashed...although i did check every inch of the yard to no avail!!! If its there, it must have been stored indoors, so i'll try again on a weekday....was pretty gutted!!!

I phoned Bolton today too, they said they had none. Apparently they are all stock cars to be sold to customers and are not demos, SKF group had 3 of them.
He also said that no customers would see Scirocco R's with a build week b4 week 15, (it what he believes although reading this forum he is wrong)

Yep ...he's wrong!

I've ordered a scirocco R, can't wait.....Dealer in Derby let me have a spin in their Golf R at the weekend. Wow it's quick, wasn't too keen in black, glad I ordered blue as the R features with stand out more. Also really pleased I ordered the DSG, the R I drove was a manual box and I wasn't so keen. Great car though!!! Dealer says the Roc will be even better

Yep he's wrong.....spoke to my dealer today, he said a silver 1 at hyde and the other he's not sure, but thinks its a blue one at Stockport, but posts above say there isn't

there was a blue one at stockport, they sold it Saturday about 1 pm. I did take a few photos but they didnt come out great

I reckon if they were Roc R's, theyd be selling even quicker

I priced mine up with the price rise Spamdog and its almost an extra £2k with the options...really wish i'd gone for DSG though as the reviews i've read rave on about it...but i'm just glad to be getting one, not as soon as you but its a only matter of weeks now, not months....never been this excited about anything in my life

But an awesome car, no wonder it sold straight away!!
I still think the Roc R looks better in everyway tho (apart for the cupholders next to the handbrake )

Anakin this is no scirocco Also for 18" they look pretty small. One last thing i dont like about the new golf-r is that they kept the same exhaust as the r32. I mean the mk6 gti changed why couldnt they change this one, make it look like the new megane-r (which looks insane) or smthing.

Offcourse the scirocco r is better its a scirocco , also dont worry about the cupholder, if its not covered (like the golf-r) you can retro-fit it, no worries croy.....btw congrats on ordering the roc-r bet its a nice one. Unfortunatlly my country will be getting one or two and are even thinking of cancelling these orders, due to the fact that ppl are not purchasing the scirocco's. Not even the 1.4 are geting sold easily, dunno why.

Yeah it does, but the Rocco looks so much meaner, looks like a grinning frog next to it.
