I've had the same issues that various people have described with the windows forgetting how high they should go. It might not just be a Scirocco issue though as I walked past an EOS in my work car park the other day and the passenger window wasn't fully up even though the car was locked.
The annoying thing is my partner has had Mini's for years and never had any kind of issue with the frameless windows in any weather conditions.

Re: Windows not rolling up
with the ice problem the windows stay down to prevent the motor from burning out, once the "problem" is removed be it usually ice formation then you can operate the one touch window button again
i however have a sticking window on the passenger side, it sounds a little loose when you shut it and then sounds like it gets a little stuck when you take it up or down like there is tape in the mechanism ?! im sure it was caused by all the freak weather as it only started when it struggled to open one icy morning ?! being as its only 4 months old the dealer can fix it !!

I had my car in for the update today. It turned out, that it wasn't a problem that could be solved by updating the car.trix wrote:keep us updated PKV...

.....but the mechanic found out!... In the doors, in the handles/locks a little sensor is placed. When you pull the handle the sensor is activated and the windows drops down an inch or so.... as you all know. The mechanic explained to me, that there is no way to adjust the sensor, but he managed to "press" it just a little bit back. Now everything i working perfect! The problem is, that the sensor can be placed so near to the handle, that just a little touch or even a "bumb" in the road can activate the sensor. The result is that the window suddenly drops.
The little repair is only temporary, but it seems to have done the job. Nevertheless the dealer ordered a new handle and lock and the car is going to have the parts replaced.

Had the same problem with passenger window but only in cold, unfortunately my problem was accompanied by the door persistently unlocking, even whilst the car was in motion. Fortunately I had a passenger to cling on to the inside of the door preventing it swinging open.
The wonderful service manger at Stirling told me that it was due to the cold and his only solution was to run the engine for 10 mins before driving. He also tried to tell me the fault m have occurred not only due to the cold weather (-4C) but due to the direction of the wind or the position I had parked in my driveway!!!!!
Not impressed, so if anyone has any solutions, other than constantly applying the silocone to the rubber seals, please post on here
