Well I am 32 and have owned the following:

Ford Escort 1.3 Popular plus in white - G reg - had this for four years whilst at school and Uni

Ford Escort 1.6 LX in maroon
- L reg - I had this for a year but had to get rid of it due to issues with the engine

Rover 416Si in dark blue - R reg - I had this for 3 years before selling it to my Dad, had to borrow it back for 4 months when I had a problem with my next car

Renault Clio 172 MK2 in black - I had this car for a year - Awesome car shame about the dealers - the airbags went off for no reason whilst I was overtaking a truck nearly killing me and Renault took 4 months to decide it was a warranty repair (no external damage - I didn't hit anything, seats needed replacing due to airbags firing) they had the car for this period and wouldn't give me a courtesy car.

Golf GTi PD150 in black - 03 reg - I had this car for 3 years - Excellent car, very reliable, well made had this from new as a company car with lots of extras.

Focus ST3 in Performance Blue - 06 reg - this is my current car and has been a fantastic car. I had all the extras fitted, no mechanical issues and RRd at 252BHP and 490NM with very little work. It is due to be replaced in the next four months :) either with a Scirocco GT 2.0 TFSI, A3 Sline 170 or BMW 123d M sport. :) Scirocco is in the lead at the moment

im 23 and have owned a few sheds :)

a pea green 1974 mini as my first car when i was 16, as a trainee panelbeater at the time it was a great car to have a play with, i put new wings, bonnet, a panels, inner sills, outer sills, floor pans, bits of the boot floor and back panel, smoothed all the seams on it, and rebuilt all the engine, then sold it

first car when i passed my test was a mk4 ford escort cabriolet, i put 18" wheels on it, lowered it 80mm, had to modify all the inner arches, and bulkhead so i had clearance, and put mk1 escort bubble arches on it, 4 branch, rebuilt the engine with rsturbo fast road cam, ported and polished it ect. bit chavvy but i loved it. also had a 500 quid mohair roof put on it, only got a pic of it half standard unfortunatly
Image

then had a mk5 escort 1.8 zetec for a bit

then a mk2 golf which was standard and an automatic when i got it then i did this to it, a bit chavvy aswel looking back

engine: 1600 with full engine rebuild, Webber carb off a 1800, ported polished and skimmed cylinder head, gti gearbox with brand new clutch, transfer plate and thrust bearing, gti driveshafts and hubs, strait through exhaust system with 6" back box

Chassis, lowered 120mm on the rear and 105mm on the front on fully adjustable suspension, 17" super turismos resprayed, brand new brakes, front and rear strut brace

Interior: leather seats, chrome gear knob and handbrake, two 12" subs, one 10" sub, three amps, a power cap and four 500w 6x9's

exterior/bodywork: big front bumper with vr6 splitter, smoked crystal crosshair headlamps, smoked indicators, "bad boy eyebrow" blended into a 3 bar grill, air filter located in wing, smoothed wings, custom bonnet with Volkswagen emblem engraved into it, smoothed scuttle panel with single wiper, modified arches/mouldings, mk3 m3 style side skirts, dtm style mirrors, Chinese spec Audi handles, tinted windows, smoothed quarter panels and back panel, crystal m3 style rear lights, spoiler, smoothed boot lid with popper, big back bumper with custom number plate recess and heat shield for the 6" exhaust with flamer kit (6-8ft flames), resprayed in 3 stage pearl paint
Image
Image

then a white mk2 golf gti

then a mk5 escort si which was immaculate, cream interior was in mint condition
Image

then a stupidly fast mk3 escort, stripped out with 2.0 zetec on twin 40 carbs, 4 branch ect
Image

then a 106 1.1 then i got bored with it, stripped it out (only leaving the clocks in it), got some 306 gti6 front seats in it, cut the insides of the doors and boot out, put perspex windows in it all round, lowered it, put a 1.6 saxo engine in it on bike carbs, 4 branch and full system, with the standard tip welded on, it was an amazing sleeper, stupidly fast aswel on the 4 speed box,
Image
Image
Image
heres a little vid of that it did 106 mph in 3rd gear (on a private road ofcourse)

and i now have a ford sierra just to get me round with a locked rear diff for a bit of sideways fun untill i get the scirocco :hyper:

and in the garage i have this that i am building a 106 rallye with a little bit of a difference

Image
Image
Image

i cant really explain exactly what i have done to this as i will be here for days, but its an mi-16 engine in it out of a 406, put in as close to the bulkhead as possible for weight distribution, and the right height so the driveshafts are strait, which meant making new chassis legs, engine will be getting rebuilt with throttle bodies and a whole lot of other stuff, full custom made rollcage, widened track as you can see on the above pic, floor behind the rear seats have been lowered so an in car aloy fuel tank can be fitted in, bulkhead chopped so 4 branch can fit propperly ect ect ect

so thats me, i hope you now know that im crazy

Drove my parents 1990 Volvo 740 GL (don't forget the GL) for 7 years - the thing was stronger than a tank

First car I bought was last year, a 3 year old Golf 1.6 FSI DSG intention was to keep it for a year till I turned 25

Fast FW to 2008 bought my Scirocco :D - now salvaging what’s left of my street cred (after driving an estate for 7 years)

G Reg Ford Orion Ghia 1.6i (at school everybody was jealous! This car was fast! really.)
M Reg 1.6 Ford Mondeo 1.6i (was a poor student)
N Reg Peugeot 306 D-Turbo (3-door, brilliant handling but needed service every 6k miles and broke down a fair bit)
S Reg Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec (3-door, great car but not special)
V Reg Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 twin spark (best looking car in the world ever! metallic silver, red leather and aero pack)
51 Reg Hyundai Coupe 2.7 V6 (HUGE mistake - I thought image wouldn't bother me but it did and not powerful enough)
54 Reg Mazda 3 Sport 2.0 (filled a gap, good all rounder, loads of kit as standard)
56 Golf GT TDI 140 (brilliant handling and fuel economy but a bit dull)
07 Reg Civic Type R (looked amazing, funky interior but could not live with the vtec, the rock solid ride or the seats)
54 Reg Mini Cooper S (the most fun I have ever had! addictive supercharger, go-kart handling but seats gave me backache)
Scirocco!!! (love the styling inside and out, excellent engine but not sure I made the right choice getting DSG)

First car - K reg Rover 214 Si in white

then 205 GXL (or something like that) auto in blue as a stop gap over one xmas hols from uni

then turned 21 and got a Rover Coupe 1.8 VVC - cam belt slipped and then fitted an MG ZR 160 engine
fast car but it was followed up by a way better handling one.

Bought a new 2006 mini cooper park lane - modded it a little bit black leather, tints, 18s

Image
Image

Then got my second mini cooper park lane and had quite a few custom mods - 6 spot lamps, 18s, rally flaps, graphics, JCW sound kit (remap, exhaust, filter etc), recaros etc. This one was magazine featured :D

Started to realise lots of mods = stupid premiums for slow car! I really loved minis though and nearly bought a new Cooper s JCW instead of the roc, but the test drive was on the bumpiest road ever, that made my mind up!

Currently a citroen c4 auto hire car til the roc arrives :(

Next week the roc!

Jees, see if I can remember...

Datsun Cherry 1.0 (yellow of course  )

Vauxhaull Cavaliar 1.6 L hatchback (don't even know what i was thinking!)

Peugeot 205 1.4 Lacoste (great little car, loved to bits until It met its end thanks to a a learner driver and a lampost!)

Opel Kadette 1.4 (looked like a mk1 astra apart from the strange boot, ooh and it was orange nice...)

Ford Orion 1.6 ghia (not a ford lover, but stood me well on 40 mile round trip to work every day)

Renault Clio Mk1 Rsi 1.8 ( at last starting to get a bit of performance, quite a quick little car.. and it was my 1st company car)

Fiat Bravo 2.0 HGT (first HGT in the UK, again underestimated car, same engine as fiat coupe, and never broke down once. My 2nd company car)

Renault Clio Mk1 2.0 172 Renaultsport (The original and best Renaultsport Clio. little modification to 185 bhp and away we go... My 3rd company car)

Citroen Xsara 1.4 (has to be the worst car I've ever driven.. was a pool car after changing jobs and waiting for my new company car)

Volvo v40 1.9d (yes alas was my new company car. After driving this, couldn't understand anyone wanting a volvo, unreliable, slow, crap handling.. just awful.. just getting over the nightmares now!)

Seat Leon Mk1 Cupra R 210 (now back on the right track, binned the company cars, couldn't risk another volvo!)

VW Golf MkIV Anni 1.9d (my first VW yay! loved the anni, quick in standard form, was Rivo'd and still returned over 45mpg)

VW Golf MkIV R32 (I knew I should never have gone to the dealers!, but just couldn't resist that V6)

Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sport (the R32 proved to be a little too thirsty. The A3 was lowered with H&R kit and had an audi bodykit and 18" BBS alloys. Nice looking car and felt very solid)

VW Golf MKIV Anni 1.8T (back in the VW camp, my original Anni still brought back good memories, couldn't resist seeing what the petrol was like. Well it was MTM tuned, and quicker than the R32!)

Alfa 147 GTA 3.2 V6 (with sounds of Mr Clarkson in the back of head saying "your not a petrolhead until you've owned an Alfa" couldn't resist the limited Nuvelo White GTA.. What a car.. Mr Clarkson was spot on!)

BMW 320d SE (back into a company car, my first beemer, and I hate to say i loved the handling, and the torque of the 2.0 TDI. Of course tuning box was a must and 195 bhp was soon on tap)

VW Gold MKIII 2.0 GTI (got a new job, no company car.. having decided on a new Roc, needed a runabout, £500 and one of the best cars i've had, love the MKIII)

VW Scirroco (well it's on the list but not here yet...)
