Scirocco Central

The configurator on the VW uk website now has the 210PS on there, and the 200PS has gone. However, no performance stats or anything else yet

Hi everyone,

I just put a deposit on a Scricco today (registered Oct 09) and was wondering if my car would have the 197 or 210 engine??

Will be the lower size 200ps engine, as the new 210ps engine only comes into effect on build week 45...

Don't think the new engines are going into the roc's until week 45 thats week after next, correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh ye, week 45, that rings a bell, oh ye, thats when mine gets a heart and starts to breath.

I will be looking at a remap anyway so I am not too bothered about that.
Had a remap done on my MK5 Golf GTI and loved the difference!!

I don;t know if anyone's posted the new 210 figures yet but I've just come across these on the Listergroup site

0-60mph = 6.9s ( I thought it was 6.7s on the previous spec ???)
Top Speed = 149mph
Combined MPG = 38.2

Previous official figures where 0-62 at 7.2 seconds.

So are there any physical changes to the engine does anyone know? or is it just a new map?

What are the two engine codes?

Is it the same engine with a different map then??

no....quite a few differences, believe its now timing chain not belt, as well as a few other differences and slightly lower co2

Would a July 2010 registered car have this newer engine fitted, as the VW website has it listed as a 200bhp model?

this is all 2.0TSi's since week 45 (mid Nov) last year
