Roof Lining Colour ?

Hi, I just got my car today and it has the grey lining, but no grab handles in it at the front. Is this normal as I the demonstrators all had the black lining and handles as well? Just wondering if anyone else has the grey lining and can confirm this is right?

"grab handles" yo mean the funky Triangler things ??

Thought they were a main design point of the car ?

i think willc1000 means the roof grab handles not the triangular door grab handles silki.

I like the black interior - the demonstrator had grey everywhere, as it was a non-GT with cloth, but I'm liking the black everything. Contrasts well to the white paint.

Glad I came across this, during my test drive I was told the black lining was stadard with the GT package. I test drove the TSI with black headlining and the TDI with the light lining and didn't like the lighter stuff one bit. Definately another trip down to my dealer to find out what is going on...I have a TDI GT on order so if what you guys say is the case he'd better get it sorted.

Anything else I should know? TDI's come with 4 wheels right?

I've got a TDI 140 without leather, but my order form has 'Black Roof lining' on it. Will be interesting when it gets delivered, feel I might have to shout a bit

I'm exactly the same - tdi gt with cloth and my order form has black roof lining on it too....

Was walking around my dealers compound they had 4 brand new unregistered cars (all sold)

Viper Green 170 Tdi Black Leather
White 140 Tdi Cloth
Blue 200 Tsi Cloth

All had black roof lining the 170 bhp Tdi also had twin chrome exhaust & the 140 bhp Tdi only had the standard metal.

They have white gt 140 bhp Tdi dsg as a demo & that has a grey roof lining, I was told that car is a 2009 build.

Haven't had a chance to get along to my delear yet but all this sounds hopeful, they might have already order my TDI with the black roof lining or at least be willing to change it without too much hassle.

Ok so I was at the dealership today and everyone in the building is 1,000,000% convinced the black roof lining comes with the GT package. I wish I had their faith but they assure me if it shows up with the grey roof it will be swapped before I pick it up...can't help thinking thats more a cure than prevention and if it happens means more waiting for me.

On the plus side they have confirmed my build for week 39 which is a week earlier than scheduled, usual 2 - 4 weeks after that for delivery I think?
