Have you tried wording your job title differently? In the past I found that picking a slightly different job lowered my quote a lot.

Instead of 'IT Engineer' I used 'Electronics Engineer' etc?

(Both titles apply to my job before anyone starts shouting fraud)

*I forgot to mention that I only have S,D&P cover. I don't use my car to commute
