Jesus! Dont touch them with brake fluid! If ya get it on the paint its curtains! Strips the stuff straight off. This is the worrying thing with forums, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!!!!!!!

As alanstead says, brake fluid will strip your paint quite quickly
It will also disolve any rubber that is not neoprene, so it will destroy the door seals too
This is probably the worst advice I've ever seen on a forum

sorry guys was just a tip i happened to find. i know brake fluid is bad news for paint hence why i said to be extremely careful with it!!
didn't know that about the neoprene thing though nobby.

use a silcon spray on mine, they come up lovely like new, though like new is quite matt, if you want a gloss to them i reccomend autoglym bumper care, apply excessivley and allow to dry, then give it a good buff off..
