Yesterday I gave mine a wash and going over with a quick detailer. Car was looking very filthy.
Today I replaced the dull yellow reverse lights. With some bright white leds.

Cheers bud.
I know one thing. The people who do the wiring at the factory for scirocco's need sacking. They have obviously not heard of leaving some slack in the looms. Absolutely no slack in the wiring loom so it was like a guitar string.

ouch - were they a simple swap apart from that - any breaking the waterproof seal? know a few people who've had condensation in there...

There is no seal to break as such.

Once you take the rear light off the body. The back of the light unit itself has 4 tabs that just need to be opened then the housing comes straight off. There is a rubber seal that runs all the way along the outer edge of the circuit board. I'd say that so long as that is still in place when refitting the board to the housing it should be fine. That's the only visable waterproof seal.

Hi, going back when you replaced your front dome lights to red. Can you please tell me how did you do it step by step? I have tried removing the small grille like black plastic bit but I can't find anything to unscrew :( to remove the whole console to expose the bulbs. I have searched all the threads here but to no avail. I'm driving a diesel 2012 GT & the pix you posted looks the same as mine. Thank you.
