Because its not on coilovers :eyepop:

As VW are producing the front and rear bumpers as seen on the cup cars, and the lower placed side strips, I'd expect the R20 to look exactly the same, bar the exhausts.

I hope they put a sweeter set of rims on though than the motorsport style ones they just launched.

Pretty sure they are call 'GTR24' desgin, and are availble in 17, 18 and 19" sizes direct from VW.

A rough translation for them being launched at Worthsee 2009.

"The name GTR24 stands for sportyness, speed and driving fun. These characteristics Volkswagen brings to accessories with the engine haven wheel GTR24 of the racing course on the road. The visitors of the GTI meeting can look at themselves the light alloy wheel on Volkswagen the conditions live at the Scirocco. Weight-optimized Volkswagen original accessories ten-star light alloy wheel Volkswagen models of new Polo, new gulf and Scirocco lends the sportiven and dynamic engine haven character. The narrow spokes are arranged V-shaped around the deeply lying center of the rim and make a good view possible on the brake assembly of the vehicle. The engine haven wheel GTR24 is available in the dimensions 17 tariff for Volkswagen the Polo (pitch diameter 100 mm, hole number of 5) as well as 18 tariff for the new Volkswagen gulf and 19 tariff for Volkswagen the Scirocco (both with pitch diameter 112 mm and hole number of 5). The rim the desire for individuality becomes also coloured fairly. Beside the color black will stand also for anthracite coal and white to the selection. "

I had v similar wheels to this on my last Audi and they are a complete pig to clean.
Yes they look great but if you don't like spending ages cleaning wheels, avoid - check out all of the nooks and crannies.
(Mine were silver - maybe you don't notice on the black finish)

And even more new news!

Data and equipment:

- " 18; Wheels in R-Design
- Climatronic - Radio RCD 310
- Light + view package
- Bi xenon with day headlight
- Tire filling announcement
- R radiator grille + R front bumper Seitenschweller + tail bumpers in car color
- sport seat plant Monte Carlo
- R-steering wheel, clip + decoration insert
2,0 TFSI 195 KW - 265 HP

Price SG6 approx. 36000 euros, with DSG = approx. 37000 euros

Take into account a stock GTi in Germany costs €26,650 versus UK £22,415, I guess we are looking at around £28-29K!!

And at the moment, it still does not look to be AWD.
