That's a shame if the dials really do look a bit naff. I know my dealer has one in, but I have not rushed down there to have a look at it.

yeah i had a little look around the new model while i was picking my dad up from our local vw , they look a little stupid. and the ride height on the new one is even more comical than on the pre face lift
( thats opinion obviously I'm sure plenty of you are running standard height )

I saw a new face model the other day, it looks better in the flesh than in the pictures. Probably sounds weird but it seemed lower, flatter and more square-ish on the road. I feel envious of you guys

Placed my order for the R about 10 days ago, have loved the Bluemotion and will miss the economy, but couldn't resist it, I think it looks awesome (and the dials are brilliant IMHO)
Rising blue metallic
Recaro race seats
Gloss black mirror covers
Folding mirrors
My order status is still 'with the factory' with an estimated build week 45 from the dealership. Hopefully have it the first week of December.

Went from Build in Progress to In Transit this morning. Spoke to the dealer who expects it'll be ready for pickup in around 3 weeks.

Mines about a week behind yours I think, so hopefully not too long for me either!

Build week 28th Sept here - can't wait! GT - fairly standard!
By the sound of it I'm one of the few people in the forum that prefers the new shape!

It's in Grimsby waiting for a transporter according to my dealer...Though the tracker still thinks it's "shipping" 3 weeks away. Take it with a pinch of salt
Getting closer!
I love the new style it looks more modern, especially the new interior and those eyelash DRLs
The new dials are growing on me too, but I shall reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. I'm not sure it'd be enough to get me to trade in though so I can see everyone's point, but I'm glad I waited for the facelift.
We'll find out in a week or so hopefully.

I'm sure you'll be made up. We all our own views on the various aspects of the facelift, but I bet to a man or woman none of us would turn one down! Must be exciting.

Just had notification that my one is in transit. God know how long it will take to be sat on my drive. I really don't mind the dials, the only thing I can't work out is why VW think I am going to time myself every time I go out. At least I have an excuse if I get pulled.

Awesome! Mine went to in transit left the factory last Wednesday 24th, In transit shipping on Tuesday 30th (whatever that means) and In transit near the UK this morning. I spoke to my dealer on Wednesday who told me it had arrived at Grimsby according to his system and was awaiting a transporter. No idea why the tracker is two days off what the dealer is seeing but I expect it'll be ready by the end of next week for pickup if all goes to plan. Not bad going really! Hope that gives you a good approximation.
The oil temp could be quite useful at least. And the clock, one can never have too many garish red 80s VCR looking LCD clocks in a car eh?

Some of the non-facelift Roccos have the oil temperature display within the MFD. My 170 diesel certainly has.

What do you lads think about the leather, I didn't go for it, hard to justify the 1.8k extra in a new car? Not even sure that included heated seats!
