Oh wow that's just unlucky! Your insurance must of been ridiculously high!
I say that because, 1-your 6 points and 2- your age and the type of car.. I'm 22 and my original insurance company (I won't mention their name.. cough cough..Endsliegh) actually refused to insure me when I bought the Rocco, ha, they told me no and just cancelled my policy!

Bloody hell mate sorry to hear about the crash!
On the insurance side I'll never understand it, I'm paying as much for what I class as a bloody diesel everyday hatch as I was paying for my 350z! Which one you'd be more likely to bend is a pointless question to me but hey, the massive 170 horses must class as a performance car nowadays!

not too scared of mentioning numbers so yeah i paid £2200 to insure my car, put in a dummy quote as i said declaring an accident and the 6 points (which i did nt need to do ) and it came in at a shade under £1900... and shaun i dont know how much 350z retail at nowadays but maybe the roccos a fair bit more expensive, they've gotta think about it being stolen and stuff haven't they? more for them to pay out

after reviewing that quote again i didn't even change my age on the quote as ill be 22 at renewal, so I've done a quote, under exactly the same circumstances as when i first insured the car PLUS a claim, and its come back £300 under, what the hell?!

That's actually not that bad, when I was 18 my first ever insurance was £ 2800 for a 3year old Corsa.. So if u paid that for the Rocco it's not too bad, obviously it's just the points that bump it up.

haha I'm done with the whole situation for now i can't be arsed beating myself up about it, just put it down to experience and sort the insurance when it comes to renewal time, waiting to hear from enterprise tomorrow to see what crappy 1.0 3 door they give me for the next two weeks while my car HOPEFULLY gets sorted out

Fingers crossed on it being sorted mate! I'd usually agree about the price part, my mate went from a tt worth about 1k to a 24k a5 coupe, insurance dropped by roughly half. I just think they're having my pants down as I've done quotes for much cheaper even with insuring the soon to be wife on it it's still a 1/3 cheaper than now. Goodbye prestige come August lol

right so I've got the car back, and I've noticed a horrendous bit of damage on the cill, its quite clearly fallen off the jacking point at some point and they just haven't bothered to fix it, only problem being the car was clean when i picked it up so i didn't actually notice it, after driving it home the dirt has got caught in it and made it really noticeable, am i going to have a leg to stand on here ? or are they just gunna fuck me off and say I've done it ? I've left them a message to ring me back on monday , really annoyed
