As I said in another post, I've only had the car for two weeks and before that had an 07 S-Line A4 2.0 TDi 170, so I initially thought it felt slow as I was so used to the massive grunt that the A4 had. I am also used to a maximum of 4000 revs before a change and that all this revving is a bit new to me!! I hadn't had a petrol car since 2001!!

Can you just keep changing the mapping? Or can you only install it once, and uninstall it once?

you can swap the maps around as often as you want, like a few other companies the bluefin also has an imobilser function which you can use to disable the car so it won't start even with the key

I've changed my BF map on my Edition 30 quite a few times ... between the two performance maps they have given me and back to standard - it is easy

SO8 a familiar face from my favourite GTI forum, good figures on the Ed30 and I know you praise the customer service experience you got, hoping to have a graph like that for our in the near future

Just installed mine a couple of days ago, very easy to do and feels very much like how vw would have done a pumped up version rather than an aftermarket conversion.

A lot of fun and no less mpg....result!

Would a dealer be able to tell that you had re-loaded the original map prior to taking it for service??

A warranty issue and all that??

No, when you return it to standard you are reloading your own original standard file ... and it resets the flash counter to whatever it was prior to loading the uprated map.

Anyone recommend a mileage to get to before getting finned up??

think some guys have had it done around running in time, mine got done at 7,500 which was way to long to wait, 4,000 miles post map and

Oh yeah, running in...........I sort of forgot about that!!!

mixed views on whether you do or don't run in, post map does adjust how you drive the thing inmho but well worth £391 quid

the rolling road day we have organised gives people a chance to see what the power and torque outputs are now like post Bluefin and a chance to chat to their technical guys

needless to say may be worth people coming along to see what its all about if they are curious and undecided given their will be members mapped cars there
