Phoned Chris Knott for my renewal price and they quoted same as last year so either the reduction hasn't filtered through to their underwriter or they're wanting to up their profit at my expense (playing on my potential complacency not to change). I told them my prices on the net and they said they could get it down and maybe even match with proof of the quotes, but I don't think i'll bother. I requoted my web quotes and it's come down again - now being quoted £359 (£374 last week) with compare the market - i'll go with them and get my Meercat unless someone like Sky ins is even cheaper.

Chris Knott seemed surprised at my price. I suggested that maybe the gender pricing stuff had kicked in and the rep said it's not happening until Dec and he'd be surprised if any Ins company had put the new prices in early on a voluntary basis.
