My scirocco has these on the windows too. If it's a radio aerial, what does the lil' shark fin on the top do? :/.

Are those strips for DAB cars?

Think it's the other way round. The side windows are the normal radio and the sharksfin is for DAB. Some of the sharksfins are just dummies though. There were three (?) variations which help to identify the age and whether the car has DAB or not.

I'm sure some shark fins have the GPS antenna don't they aswell?

That makes sense! Mine if probably a dummy and it came fitted with an RCD510.
