It may be a silly question but how do you know if the OEM shocks have enough travel for the air suspension?

Can't wait to see this mate, wish I had the skill/ knowledge/ balls to do this haha will you have to do any arch lining mods to get this on the floor?

No 100% yet, but I want the 3SDM 0.05's, 18x9.5 all round. With a 215/40 tyre on them.

Good choice, My rocco is arriving at the end of the month and hopefully getting air by next march ish time, and that was the wheel spec I was going to go for aswell ^ but hopefully by march next year the 19's should be released

Yeah I'm after these exact wheels, not on air though :/

Been told by 3sdm they're looking at a November release on the 19s

It won't effect his chassis at all due to a thick metal plate been welded into it.. Narrow minded much


As for the car , the fron't looks like it's on air ride and the back looks like it's on springs some how...

My engineering degree must count for nothing then.

A metal plate will do nothing to fix a purposefully made fault.

I'm thinking of airlifting too. Your Rocco is the first one I've found dropped with the air. It's very motivating!
May I ask you for advise, which set should I buy from AirLift Co for hassle free mounting?

I don't want to drop it as low as you've managed. I just want to keep stock's stroke with air suspension.
One more question. How it is on the road? What's up with handling? Is there increased body roll compared to the springs? I do not want to compromise a taste of the sports car.

Have you driven in a car with coilovers ?
Because the ride quality feels just as crashy and bouncy as coilovers.
Handling is shit because you have to remove your front ARB.

If you don't want to go that low and you want it to still handle well, then I'd suggest you don't spend big money on air when it won't suit your needs.

And tbh, It does cause a lot of bother with reliability, mine leaks air all the time and the compressor keeps blowing fuses. It also dropped itself to the ground at 50mph and has a mind of its own.

Sounds like a waste of money then?

What coilies where you running before air dude? I was considering air, but its alot of money, so tempted to get a set of coils instead, whether its KW or H&R ultralow, undecided atm

Anyone wanting air ride this is NOT the case...

I'm running accuair switchspeed on my rocco now 100% perfect , Did you fit the suspension DIY by any chance?

Me and a mate fitted mine in 2 days.. , You should always leave it another 2 days on full heigh to test for leaks then find and wipe them out..

I've got 0 leak in PSI after changing one fitting valve , Also having had coils before the ride is much better and less crashy depending on what height you drive at.

Also you're fuses are blowing because they aren't the right amp you need a higher power one., I've had mine in 2 months without a single one blowing.

Arb does have to be removed as said but you can drive the car so low that theres no near for an arb as theres 0 body roll, My rocco's running close to 300bhp and hugs to road like its on tracks!

Dropping to the ground i'm assuming is something to do with you're mangment and how it's fitted so can't help on that front im afraid , Either that or you put an air line close to something and it's cut through.



All in all i find 90% of what you said untrue im afraid , But opinons are there to be cast.
