Has anyone seen a price for this one?
Have some difficulty seeing this one pitched into the UK market with the R-Line being introduced in April. It is a R-Line in a bit of drag artist guise.
Have a feeling its aimed at the German market where the old Mk2 GTS in this guise with side flashes was marketed. That never saw the UK market. (My GTS was a teaser model of 1,000 off to see off the Vauxhaull Calibra/Opal Manta B at the time and test reaction to the new body kit, a GTX in all but the engine (carb instead of the GTX injection) They sold very fast because of their VFM).
The one in the video may be a one-off special to gauge reaction in certain markets.

Hmm def not a fan of this ac unit, unless it shows on the screen like the previous one. So does it show on the screen when you change the temp? (by screen i mean on the main head unit i.e. the rcd/rns models)

Would be nice to have the option of adjusting by .5! My car is always too hot or too cold.

Just because it displays it to 0.5 deg doesn't mean it can control it to 0.5 deg.
I do like the little digital temperature displays though and good to see them back.
I think the whole displaying on the RCD/RNS is a little pointless IMO

At the place of making a new ac unit which tech has the same concept as the old one (mk5) why doesnt vw introduce a carbon fiber option (like porsche) where you can get a steering wheel and the dash trims in carbon? Now some of you might say you cant have that as an option on a base model like a 1.4 scirocco or a golf but at least offer it on the r.

The VW doesn't really have a reason to add any hp to the 2.0 TSI Scirocco. The Edition 35 celebrates the 35th birthday of the original Golf and since the Scirocco is less iconic, I doubt there will be any celebratory models for the Scirocco any time soon. It's also worth remembering that the 235 PS engine found in Edition 35 is not a tuned version of the newest 2.0 TSI lump from the GTI or Scirocco, but an older engine model, which is also used in Golf R and Scirocco R in considerably higher tune. So even though getting +25 PS from the current 2.0 TSI wouldn't require much, that's not what they've done with Edition 35.
