So finally have the car back after a coil pack 1 replacement and brand new set of spark plugs which now seems to have fixed the problem. Engine feels back to full power and is making the right sounds and no sign of stuttering or misfiring as of yet. I'm off to Snetterton tomorrow so if its not fixed I'm sure it will show up.

Any idea why a car with only 9600 miles on it should need new spark plugs?? Could this be a symptom of another problem?

Thanks RW1, that looks like what the problem has been. If it rears its head again I'll go buy some iridiums.

All standard fit. Just done the track day at Snetterton and the car was perfect, so spark plugs seemed to have cured the problem.
