Interesting way of doing it; most people have been removing the front lense!
I think I might use your method though, as it looks easier to reseal the unit. You don't need to get a perfect fit, as the resealed area is hidden anyway.

Was thinking the same and I was one of the ones that removed the front lens. Though by using a 2 part epoxy to stick them back together again they're 100% waterproof too. But that way means the fit of the unit won't change.

Thanks Ben! I got them from a guy called Al on Instagram, really happy with them though! Hahaha I'm sure they'd love to! I was gunna give mine a go but heard a few mixed reviews on how difficult it is so may just end up paying someone to do it professionally.
Small update today! I re-plastidipped the engine cover and much happier with it now. Fitted with the carbon battery cover:
It still is a long way off being a show engine bay, but it's a start! Watch this space

Finally finished all four wheels this afternoon! 7 cans of primer, 7 cans of paint and 7 cans of lacquer (not to mention the number of blisters from sanding!!) they're done. Wooohoooo!
Leaving them for a week now for the paint to harden before putting tyres back on, ready for winter...
And new centre caps fitted:
Happy days
