4 new tyres fitted yesterday.

cleaned the wheels this morning ready to go to the Revo Coffee morning..and what did i see!

:eyepop:

Dreaded white worm on one of the centre caps.

and potentially damage from tyre change (although could have been kerb / pot holes)

Too busy eating chicken nuggets and kerbing your own alloys, don't blame the tyre company.

And i still wanna know why you have pieces of what look like shredded tissue behind your car on the post before, what were you doing ? Did you have a cigarette afterwards as well ? :D

Latest update....

This morning.

Image

Had a look at these...

Image

on Collection.

Image

Wanted to have a go in this....but it needs custom mapping so not allowed...

Image

:D

So what's been added? Well H&R 35mm lowering springs, and Revo Stage 1. slight clutch slip when flooring it at lower revs now unfortunately despite the boost on moderate. however after 4k rpm it is bonkers flying to the redline! :D

Mintex 1144's weren't fitted today due to a slight concern which I'm investigating but will be fitted eventually I'm sure

Think I need to save up for a Helix clutch now and then go Stage 2 with DP. :)

Thanks to Justin / Dave / Dean at TTS for looking after my car. Also had the coming home lights sorted on VCDS so don't need to "flash the stalk" anymore. Yippee.

Just found out it's a Mintex fahook up per the brake guru DaveB...so slight little mod and they'll be fitted in due course.

Now...Sachs or Helix for the clutch? Hmmm

That is one of your best posts to date Mr. :D

The Sachs is calling....355lb/ft rating should be enough for S2.

Must be chucking out fair bit of power now.

TTRS is really nice, but at ~£50k you can get so much more for your money.

well after the Revo remap i arranged to go back to SRR for another RR sesh to see what the new numbers were (not that i'm a number chaser...but playing with numbers everyday i just can't help it sometimes! :D )

Here's the print out

Image

321.5 BHP / 321 lb ft of torque.

The extra 0.5 bar boost increase from the map certainly has made a difference. Was good to hear Charlie say "needs a bit more timing there's more bhp in there"..... the Timing setting has been kept low on purpose to protect my clutch! But I'm curious now and might up the settings to see what it can do :D

Another Rocco went on the RR before me.... and it made some stonking numbers. I will let him tell his side of the story. :)

i think if you post you'll original graph against that you'll be very pleased with the spread of torque and power rather than just the peak numbers

was a cracking afternoon and the banter was superb with charlie, always honest figures with SRR (even if we got a bit excited and had the bubble burst)

hahahaha yes that was a PDT special climb up the rollers run...so it doesn't count! :D

but interesting never the less when charlie explained it.

I'll do a Excel comparison ;)

Voila! Just look at the torque increase!!! Poor clutch. Sachs / Helix is inevitable. :D
