Yes stage 6 came this morning. Dealer said usually 2 weeks until it's ready for release to me.

Was 11 days for me yes, could hve been quicker though if it had got on the first boat that left Portugal and/or had got off at Sheerness or Grimsby. It got off at Tyne yesterday morning for some reason, no idea why because I'm in Leicestershire. It should have got off on Thursday but for some reason couldn't get in to the dock so hd to turn around and wait for half the day.

With regards the chap who said his car got on at Santander, I cannot fathom why considering all the boats that go to Santander then go to Portugal before returning to the UK. Very odd. I can understand taking cars to Emden as its only an extra day or two journey compared to the boat that goes straight to the UK, but seeing as they have boats that go direct from Portugal to the UK once a week I'd have thought they'd just use those for all UK orders for sake of simplicity.

Shame your car wasn't on it Ash, guess it must have been full as yours was easily built in time, fingers crossed yours arrives soon. If yours is en route to Emden I suspect it's on the Frisia.

My dealer was convinced mine was built in Spain too, but I ignored that as I thought they all came from Portugal. But then when it arrived on a boat from Santander I have no idea what to think. Oh well, at least it's nearly mine...pick it up on Weds

The boat that goes to Santander also goes to Portugal. It's route is Santander - Setubal - Sheerness - Grimsby - Tyne - sometimes a stop at Zebrugge or Emden - repeat.

If it did get on there God knows why, Sciroccos are built at AutoEuropa in Portugal. One way you can know for sure, when you get it, is check the VIN. Each factory has a number and wherever the car was assembled that number will be in a certain place in the VIN.

Sorry that's the new weekend/track car I'm looking at getting, link must not have copied.

I've closed the page but the boat is called City of Sunderland due in to Sheerness tomorrow I think it said.

You speaking to VWUK custard services or your dealer?

When I spoke to VW customer services they said similar until the day it was due to get off the ship. The dealer claimed they're only privvy to the same tracker updates I am.

You've had 3 big bad boats leave Portugal since yours was built, it'd be shit luck to not have got on any of them. Can't see them shifting that many Scirroccos each week.

Yeah customer services. Still no text updates. Gonna be after xmas before I get it

If its any consolation I have a expected delivery date of the 22nd Dec and my cars is build week is not until next week don't get to down hearted Santa will help I'm sure if not.

Where do you live Ash? The City of Sunderland which I thought your boat should be on has docked in at Tyne this evening so presumably unload tomorrow and hopefully you get your stage 6 update Saturday morning.

If not, the next boat to do the UK run is on its way round to Portugal as we speak and is due in to Setubal at noon on Saturday. If your car isn't on the first, which I can't see why it wouldn't be, I'm certain it will be on this one.

As I already said, when I rang VW customer services they said my car was still at the port when it had been on the boat for two and a bit days already, next time I rang they said it was due to get off at Tyne that day. Still don't know why it got off at Tyne, it has to be the furthest Port from where I am.
