see the back box? My pic above...was taken at number plate level! You'd have to be crouching to see the bottom bit of the back box!

So nah I'll leave it as it is until it gets sooo dirty that wigit has another go at me. lol

Ermmm I'm down south not far from SteveP really.

here you go.

the part numbers i posted earlier on this thread are for the 4 button version due to a bit of mis understanding.

i'm sure there is a 5 button bottom part for it (mk5 golf gti was 5 button wasn't it) so just get one of those! No idea what my 4 button version is from (mix and match numbers from arluts how-to thread) and a bit of help from the local TPS place (they liked my R a lot so was willing to help) :)

I would willingly, in fact, I look forward to paying for a service... if only we had our cars..... lol

How did your first 6 months go... still happy?

It's been fantastic I have to say. Mpg is getting better and it still makes me smile everytime I get into it.

Not to mention this forum and meeting some nice and friendly people which makes the overall ownership experience even better.

poor car's done a lot of miles of late and not had a proper clean for a while. So whilst the weather was nice over the weekend i didn't to spend some time cleaning it.

Used Lusso Auto Bathe, Lusso Revitalising Creme, and finished off with Lusso Oro wax.

The new Big Blue microfibre towel too from Autoperfection as they've got none of the double plush version, but it did the job of drying no probs. :)

Using the Revitalising Creme before applying the Oro wax has definitely made it shinier post wax (only used this trick twice so far). It smells the biz too (very coconutty)

Didn't take any of the back end unfortunately.

just a quickie:

Is the rising blue colour any different to a normal Roc rising blue?

I wasn't a big fan of it on a normal GT but it strangely looks good on the R, is it a lighter shade or something?

there is no reason to believe its different, the other colours available on the R are certainly the same but I do agree it does look better on the R randomly (I didn't dislike it on the standard roc), perhaps its due to the gloss black parts?

Pictures on a website can be deceiving. And one car could be detailed/waxed vs one that hasn't been.

The paint I'm sure is the same (order off same colour chart)

Can't remember if there is a pic of mine next to Wigit's at Combe.

Best to compare in the flesh if you're worried.

Forgot to say.... My RB R just looks the bollox anyway :D

Nope. I'm with the GTI boys...along with another RB Roc R. But it wont be as coconuty smelling bollox as mine. His will be DoDo Juiced up Bollox.

Any preference??? :p
