I think you'd need the sprigot rings to put on the hub lip. not sure if the mounting bolts for the from caliper would fit with the rear setup??
yeah, I've got spigot rings on the front discs. all comes with the mounting kit if you buy the right one. Rears are a pain in the a**, I still have no idea how I'm going. to mount them. think its going to be a custom bracket

On which set up mate? I went 40mm H and R springs - H and R ultra low coilovers - AirLift. Coils were set about 60mm lower than stock

So I came home from slam fest with a top 15 trophy

And wheel colour has changed

I have also been taken on as a sponsor for Drexler Ceramic.

Got some stickers printed for the rear windows and air tanks

Spent a full day correcting the paintwork, and applying my ceramic coating

Results really speak for themselves when you see the shine.

This weekend I am reinstalling my air tank, adding a second, and reupholstering the boot build. My original build was basic and functional but now I’m after something with a little more ‘show’

Rebuilt my install yesterday and quite liking the end result. First attempt at hard line, it’s not 100% but it’s not overly far off thankfully.

What do you think?

Image

Image

I ran out of wood and needed the car back on the road so had to improvise with the front half of the install. I will rebuild this at a later date so I can have the compressor and manifold on show.

Image

And the final result looks pretty nice

Tanks need a polish to remove some marks and hard lines are being fully polished in the future, along with tanks colour coded to the vehicle.

A new set of wheels, carbon front splitter, carbon skirt extensions and possibly a carbon rear diffuser are next on the cards. Then to start proper work on the interior

Definitely one, if not the best looking Scirocco R that i have seen. Congrats :)

I have noticed that you have installed recently air suspension. I don't know if you are a keen driver, but i would be interested to know your feedback in how did the ride/handling change after fitting air suspension. I need the additional height occasionally, therefore i was looking more towards Air Cups. But unfortunately, they cannot be mounted on the rear, because the springs and dampers are separate.

Also, if possible to tell me how high does it rise (max height) from the wheels, i would appreciate it allot.

Thanks!

Thank you for your kind words :)

Personally, I think the ride is slightly harder than lowering springs. I am running the Slam series struts, however if you went for the performance model you have the option to adjust camber and damper stiffness, so if you were worried about handling then I would recommend going full performance struts :)

Kerscher carbon splitter came

Then I ordered some new wheels

Drexler also sent me out their alloy wheel coat in preparation for my new shoes

Image

Unfortunately I managed to damage an arch with a roller so will have to get that rectified soon. But other than that the exterior is looking good and clean now.

Carbon skirts and diffuser and I think I’m about done on the outside

I’d really like an OSIR carbon spoiler but i can’t find one to suit an R so I don’t think it’ll Be an option. If anyone has any advice on this please let me know

Got back from ultimate stance with some nice pictures and a new boot build idea.

Set out getting that in motion and now she’s complete

Image

Tanks are going the same colour as my calipers in the next week or so, then I’ll set about hard lines to replace the current random plastic connecting lines.

My intention is once I get myself a second compressor, mounting my management in the hole in the centre and cutting holes either side for a compressor each.

Decided to get some lighting up in there as well which has been ordered. Should be here in the next few days, installed over the weekend.

Having to remove the spacers from the rear due to constant rubbing issues and re rolling/flaring the front arches to make way for the tyres.

All in all a successful few weeks and to top it off, I’ve been offered a MYNT Automotive sponsorship.

Anyone wanting any new detailing gear, do hit these guys up at:
