They have now got to pdi, tax & register it etc. I will pick it up on the 2nd Nov due to transfer of private plates.

Mine was built on the 25/9 reached the dealer here in Northern Ireland on the 21/10. All depends on luck with the shipping from a Setubal to UK. Picking mine up on the 25/10!

Hello folks,
Placed an order for a manual Scirocco R-line 2.0 tsi with my local dealer about a month ago.
I told them I didn't need the car until March, due to our current lease car going back in April.
Have put my order into the tracker and it still says processing (stage 1).
Does anyone know the current delivery time after the factory have the order?
Cheers

Now my order number isn't working on the tracker, is that normally what happens?

It does occasionally go down for a short while and it will say that the order number isn't recognised. Mine did it last week and then came back within 24hrs.
Nothing to worry about.

Just checked mine and it's working. It's also switched from Stage 1 to Stage 2!
This is a little strange, though, as it was stage 1 this morning and I sent my dealer an e-mail around 2 hours ago as I was concerned that it was still at that stage 8 weeks after placing the order. This suggests to me that the dealers have some control over it, rather than it being in real-time based on the status with VW.

What have you ordered, Stu? It seems as though ours may be on the same 'run'.

Hi Guys, I'm waiting on my company to place an order for my new Scirocco GTS - does anyone have a feel for the estimated build time from order placement right now for a GTS - I had to wait 9 months for my current GT DSG back in 2010 so I hope its a lot quicker that that these days!.
Cheers,

Hi Andy.
Wait times can vary for many reasons. Dealer allocation. Availability of parts. Shipping schedules etc..
You may get lucky and there will be a car in your spec in stock or already built.
To give you a rough idea, though; I placed my order for a GTS TSi manual with Xenons in early November and I have a confirmed build week 6. I think mine has taken quite long because of dealer allocation at the end of the year....so yours may not take quite as long....though, I'm not certain.

Thanks for the reply Brocky, somewhere in the ~14 week range then should be expected - I have ordered a White DSG GTS but no other options so pretty standard which I hope will be lucky for a swift build.
Enjoy yours when it arrives!

Checked the tracker this morning and it seems to have skipped 'build in progress' and gone straight to 'in transit'!

Congrats mate, very exciting eh.
I don't think the tracker thing works that great, although it's a great idea. My one doesn't give a build date yet but VW looked on theirs and it's tomorrow, with estimated delivery end of April.
Should have had mine already but stuffed it up adding the Recaro seats part way through the order process.

Cheers,
Blimey I think I would have given up on buying one with a 9 month wait.
Nice to get one as a company car.

I just checked the track my order thing and it says mine is in transit
Last week I spoke to VW and they said 30th March was the build start date. I'm not sure if this is correct so I will have to ring the dealer tomorrow.
