Selley m - I questioned this on my recent service and was told it was wear and tear? Did you have to argue ?

I'm guessing you mean the wheel caps? Nope I didn't have to argue or anything. It was in for the wastewater repair and I asked them to have a look at the corrosion on the caps. Without saying anything they replaced them free of charge. Hope you get your sorted

Hoovered the boot and then put an Aldi boot liner in, not bad tbh. Ever since my mum got her B&Q 10% discount card my boot has had all sorts of crap in there so this should do the job!

Well, not actually today - more like last weekend. Anyway, drove down to Cornwall and got the car remapped and dyno'd by Celtic Tuning. I was running a DTUK tuning box, which was great, but this is so much better.

Ordered 2 new tyres for when my fronts eventually wear out. Goodyear eagle F1asymmetric 2 235/35/19 for £124.40. The lowest price I've seen them for, yesterday they were £147

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Sorry dood - I will do better tomorrow but Monday to Friday Walter lives at work - so hoovering represented my lunch break
That said tomorrow is another day - time to valet the interior
and I did !
After initial friday snow foam, dry & buff Walter got thoroughly cleaned inside, AF revive on the dash and plastics, AG Foam shampoo on the front seats (backs hoovered the other day & have never been sat in)
Also used some fine detailing brushes to get into the vents especially the a/c vents in the "A" pillar which were surprisingly grubby
Got rid of a nasty black mark on the off side "A" pillar too while i was at it and reattached the rubber trim on the drivers door which had broken free of the retaining pin.
Gave the wheels a quick "Iron out" and scrub with wheel woolies
Then because i was bored, have too much time on my hands, am completely CDO & mostly because it was sunny out I gave him another coat of backlight and topped off with AF Tough Coat & some Poor Boys Wheel sealant - finished up washing out my AF wax mates and am waiting for them to dry
Oh and a new air freshener - the California Scents "Santa Barbara Berry" and then took him for a cruise to fully dry the discs
Now contemplating buying a clay kit and or the Werkstadt acrylic set just to be different - i trust this is more in keeping WD

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Picked up my freshly painted R line bumper with plate recess removed.
Also got my exhaust just need to modify it slightly.
Will get both fitted on Saturday and try to drop off all my bumper plastic trims off at the bodyshop for painting.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Relocated my RNS510 GPS antenna from above the glovebox to above the Centre console vents. Was a bit worried about taking off the vents cos I heard they are in tight, but it's easy when you use a trim tool.
It picks up 2 - 3 more satellites now and always has a 3D fix.
Then to kill 2 birds with one stone, I decided to upgrade the firmware (again) to 5238. Went swimmingly fine.
