dealer phone today it will be ready to pick up tuesday 25 sept.called in to see dealer and its sat in compond why can`t i have it now just booked a couple of days off work for next week

That's great news, I'm going to call mine tomorrow, can't believe the wait is nearly over!!! I'm hoping for a similar result, ive already booked Friday off but if I need to get another day off on Tuesday then I will! I'll use friday as a day to drive everywhere!!!! These few months have been murder, I may explode on Monday!!!

yes picked my car last tuesday the dealer said that it was built early don`t know why but im very happy it was as the wait was killing me so i can understand how you feel.
Think you need to have a word with the dealer,they can log on and tell you exactly where it is
hope you get it soon

Has anyone with a build week of 39 got there cars yet? the wait is killing me!!!

My car was ordered today - no idea of a build date but am guessing around January 2013, arriving at the dealer sometime in February and then (the car) waiting in his compound for March 1st!

Build week 35 and collecting the car today .. Its been a long wait and has taken longer to get the car shipped , however only 2 days from uk arrival to get dealers ship ... Gonna be a good day .. Cannot wait to pick my new r line up .. Sad to hand over my 1st roc thou after 3 years of traveling

So my local dealer has just told me my car has a scheduled build date for 1st week of Jan (unconfirmed at this stage for production) - what delivery date is likely from that information?

The initial order was made 13th October

Thats interesting Morgan - my order was placed 18 October and the dealer e-mailed me today saying car will be be built week 48 and take 2 to 3 weeks to ship.... I was very surprised at that - my current Golf which I ordered two years ago on 31 October 2010 took until mid February to arrive!

Yours may be taking longer due to DSG 'box perhaps?

In any case I will wait till new year to have her registered :-)

Hmm, your delivery will likely be third week in January if they stick with that build date - patience will be required!

Ordered my new rising blue 2.0l tdi 140 on the 4th december. Dealer has told me it should land on march 4th '13. Cant wait!

Indeed it is! don't mind the wait though as winter will hopefully be over by march so i wont have to get it dirty!

This is my first post and have ordered a new car at christmas for my wife. Dealer has called to say build week is wk 6 which starts build on Feb 4th . Car should be in UK and ready to collect mid March. Does that timeframe seem correct?

Vitovanman, mine is also build week 6 and the dealer has said mid march for me aswell...

Thanks for that. Should work out quite well as out of the UK Feb and most of March. If all goes to plan should be ready to drive away on our return.
