and finally the interior modding is complete!
The correct part for the 4 button compartment arrived today so went to pick it up. Some flaffing about trying to get the 12V socket out of the old tray (my god that was a bugger to get out) and then it was all fitted to the new covered storage compartment. I've updated the original parts listing i put up on Page 2 for those who want to do a similar mod.
That should be it for mods (for now lol)

Does that actually work? I would have thought the temperature would be enough to make a layer wax into an adhesive surface??

Hi I've bought a foot rest cover like yours but just want clarification on how to remove the plastic foot rest first before I drill the holes.
I know there are two screw covers I need to remove one with a screw driver, but it's the second which I'm not sure about. I have seen on another post that it's an allen key job...is this correct? If so what size allen key does it need?

bit of patience in getting the things off not that hard really!
Best way is to remove the armrest to give u more access to the back of the cup holder. But you still have to loosen the whole centre console from in front of the gear stick (the 2 triangular handles) so u can lift it up enough to slide the old one out and new one in.
Check out Arlut's thread in Interior Decor. I printed it all out and me and a mate got it all done in 2 hours. We took it easy as he didn't want to do any damage to my car! He said 1 hour easy now that he knows how to get the various bits off.
Rear cup holder is just 2 screws. Unscrew, Pull out, ram new one in, re screw...job done.
