Got the front bumper smoothed today, it's starting to get to how I want it! Wheels are desperately needed though, hopefully they should be here next week!

Thanks guys! I'm getting a plate bracket made up this week which will screw into my tow eye - in the meantime I tried cable tying the numberplate to my front grill but it looked damn awful, so I've got a sticker plate made up as an interim solution

Wheels arrive in the UK tomorrow, then should hopefully be with me the end of next week providing all goes to plan. They have to be on and fitted by GTI International (4th July) - that's my goal!

I've had these DRL's sat around in my garage for a while - I bought them and test fitted a while back but they didn't work. Thought I'd give them another go today and they are fine! Think I was just plugging in the sidelight the wrong way round hahaha

I'm undecided, I kinda prefer them but they've got mixed reactions and comments from my friends! What do you guys think?? (Pics of the temporary plate also )

The DRLs look good to me.

As for the 'temporary' plate I'd say it's bigger than the full time plate on the front of my Impreza Turbo lol

DRL's look rad man, im thinking about getting some as I hate the orange in the standard unit. Were they an eBay job? front bumper looks sick as well man

So, the pressure is on this week. GTi International is fast approaching this coming Saturday which is my target to get my new wheels fully fitted, arches rolled (if req.), rear wheels cambered (if req.) and ready for shows over the next couple of months! I will (hopefully!) have 5 parcels arrive this week:

1) 2 x Front Tyres (225/35/19 Toyo Proxes T1 Sport)
2) 2 x Rear Tyres (235/35/19 Toyo Proxes T1 Sport)
3) 4x Rotiform TMB Wheels (5x112 19 inch, Staggered 8.5J and 10J)
4) Wheel spacers, 16 wheel bolts and 4 locking wheel nuts
5) Front number plate holder (custom made to screw into tow eye)

So far, we are not going well. Only number 2 has turned up but I am feeling confident!



The countdown begins, 4 days remaining...

Yesterday the tyres were fitted and the inevitable happened. 3 down, last to go and the tyre fitter fucked up! Mounted the wheel incorrectly and scratched the rim putting the tyre on. Frustrated would be an understatement - I wasn't there when it happened, and they are now claiming "it came out of the box like it" - which it didn't, as I checked them all beforehand!

You can clearly see from the second pic it hasn't just been "dropped" or "knocked", the type of mark it is shows it gradually digging into the rim as obviously the wheel was spinning round on their machine. Pretty gutted to be honest! Currently awaiting a reply from one of their managers to hopefully resolve the issue, although I am doubtful anything will come of it

On the plus side, atleast tyres are on! Spacers and bolts should *hopefully* be here today, which means I can seal the wheels tonight and fit them tomorrow ready for GTI International Saturday! Pic of stretch on the rear below
