Re: Its Here !!
I can't decide if I want to actually see mine before I collect on wednesday
I'm tempted to go but I also want the excitement of seeing it there on the forecourt all polished up and ready to go for the first time.

Re: Its Here !!
I'd leave it for the day you pick it up... it'll ruin it
You already know what the car will look like, so seeing it in the flesh should be saved for the day

Once you have paid your money the dealer may not be so attentive anymore !!
I sure hope this won't be the case for any of you but it does happen.

It could just as easily get damaged between seeing it and collecting it.silver130 wrote:WHAT !!!Kev wrote:I can't decide if I want to actually see mine before I collect on wednesday

As much as i agree with you not wanting to see it before you pick it up I would go and see it just to make sure it hasn't been damaged in transit. It's too late a few weeks later when the rose tinted spectacles come off and you find the botched smart repair or the mismatching paint with overspray where the dealer has done it on the cheap hoping you won't notice. With all the excitement of picking up a new car it is so easy to miss seeing it because all you want to do is set off for a spin in your new pride and joy..

I'm not hyper about picking it up on the day and I've had a good rapport with the dealer so far so I don't have any worries about spotting anything. I'm collecting at 2 in the afternoon when the light is good for seeing such things and I purposefully avoided March 1st so they didn't have to rush the PDI.

Re: Its Here !!
Tic Toc Kev - you have had a long wait my friend!!!
Personally I couldn't get to mine for three days after I knew it was at the dealership and twice took a detour to avoid driving past the garage.
Nothing like seeing your new car for the first time and then driving it away - nobody can ever take those moments away from you.
Only a few more sleeps to go Kev

I was making a general comment. Not anything personal.
