Should I go for black?

Post by Trickytree1984 »

Ok, so i agreed a deal for a new scirocco last week, they just had to find the car. I signed the deal on a white basic bluemotion GT.

The dealer just called to say they have a black one with parking sensors that I can take right away for the same deal!

Now i always said to myself that i would never have another black car just beacuse they show up every paint scratch. Can any black scirocco owners comment on the quality of the black paint on the roc?

I really want the parking sensors!

Thanks

Take the black and always wash and wax by hand to minimise scratches and swirls - Pearl paint and parking sensors add up to about £800 of extras and the factory fit parking sensors do a good job.

Thanks. Is the black solid or metallic?

Exactly what they told me. £800. I am not going for supergard to pay for the extras. i will apply super resin polish myself.

I've got mine in black and its not been that bad to keep clean. I've had a black car in the past so I knew what to expect. When it has just been cleaning and waxed it looks amazing!!

No problems with Pearl Black as long as you're ready to use some of your time on proper detailing ;)

Will do. Should I tell the dealer to stuff the supergard and just use AG super resin?

Def get the black, I had a candy white before this one and as good as it looked when you role out in the black freshly waxed and polished it just outs everything else on the road to shame!

Had mine parked next to a porsche and a 350Z at work the other day and people agreed mine looked better......thats stock as well when its been lowered will look even better!

Do agree though needs that little bit more care and attention though as every mark and grain of dirt shows up!
