As everyone's suggesting alternatives, SD is an option isnt it? Then you can just plug it in a leave it.

I have a galaxy s 2 which i got a couple off months ago, and picked my new scirocco up 3 weeks ago and works fine with mine. You dont need to buy a mini usb cable to use your phone for playin music as you can use the cable that you get with the phone to use to for your pc to use it to connec to the usb cable in the armrest. Thats what i done untill i got a usb stick.
