V-Power Diesel

Post by egobreed »

Anyone ever use the V-Power Diesel any more? It seems fairly redundant now that they're flogging the 'FuelSave' standard diesel.

I have tried it in the past but didn't notice any difference. :shake:

I use it normally, but not sure there's much - if any - of a difference for the 8p a litre premium.

Snake oil basically, if you run diesel with cetane booster you may notice a slight difference, but all you will notice with Shell or BP premium diesel is that you've spent more money than you needed to.

I run my Boxster on Tescos super unleaded as it's consistent and about 5p cheaper than Shell or BP, but with diesel it's a false ecomomy in my experience.

I tried it on my previous car (astra 150 derv) and to be honest didnt notice any difference to the normal shell diesel which I have used since.

There is one difference - so little people buy it, the pumps don't dribble as much as the standard diesel ones do. :)
So it's better for your paintwork. Clutching at straws to justify the 145.9p per litre price today.
