V-Power Diesel
Anyone ever use the V-Power Diesel any more? It seems fairly redundant now that they're flogging the 'FuelSave' standard diesel.

V-Power Diesel
I have tried it in the past but didn't notice any difference.egobreed wrote:Anyone ever use the V-Power Diesel any more? It seems fairly redundant now that they're flogging the 'FuelSave' standard diesel.
Re: V-Power Diesel
I use it normally, but not sure there's much - if any - of a difference for the 8p a litre premium.
Re: V-Power Diesel
Snake oil basically, if you run diesel with cetane booster you may notice a slight difference, but all you will notice with Shell or BP premium diesel is that you've spent more money than you needed to.
I run my Boxster on Tescos super unleaded as it's consistent and about 5p cheaper than Shell or BP, but with diesel it's a false ecomomy in my experience.

I tried it on my previous car (astra 150 derv) and to be honest didnt notice any difference to the normal shell diesel which I have used since.
Re: V-Power Diesel
There is one difference - so little people buy it, the pumps don't dribble as much as the standard diesel ones do.
So it's better for your paintwork. Clutching at straws to justify the 145.9p per litre price today.
