When I play my iPod touch through my RCD510 it plays a few seconds of the song before jumping back and playing the full song, this only seems to happen on the Ipod touch and not the Nano. It is very annoying!!
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Re: RCD 510 and Ipod Touch
Just tried it with my ipod touch 4G and it seems to work perfectly.
Perhaps it's the ipod version that affects the RCD510's ability to playback normally?

Have you updated the firmware of the MDI interface. There are some threads on here about it. Its easy to do.....that should fix it I think.

My car is a 2010 build and I haven't updated the firmware and my ipod works ok.faigy90 wrote:Have you updated the firmware of the MDI interface. There are some threads on here about it. Its easy to do.....that should fix it I think.
Perhaps montythelab has an earlier firmware version. However it seems odd that it should even be necessary to update the firmware since I assume the MDI was designed to play the ipod?

I use an iPod touch into RNS315 and the sound cuts for a split second just after the start of every track, not a huge issue but very annoying and I have no idea why it happens. Any ideas appreciated!
