iphone holder for my rocco

Post by sean28uk »

Hi everyone,

i have an iphone that i use for sat nav, but currently it lives in the cup holder next to the handbrake and talks me to my destination.

I was wondering if anyone actually had a decent cradle for their iphone that was visible on a journey but did not damage or permanently attach to the dash.

thanks

Search Broadit online, they do the kind of thing you're after.

I use the TomTom iPhone gps cradle which is fine. it has a good suction cup and range of adjustment for either portrait or landscape orientation. My iPhone 3G's gps function is hopeless out of the cradle, but gets a fix everytime with it. The cradle connects via the biPhone base socket for charging and audio, but Bluetooth for the gps.
If it's not broken, you haven't tried hard enough...

Hi I bought a really cheap one that slots on to the vents on the dash for £4 from fleabay. I thought for the price was worth a shot. It is brilliant and hols the iPhone either vertical or horizontal, and great position for my sat nav app. Didn't lIke the way the Brodie ones fitted to the dash and very expensive. With the cheapie it was easy to fit and is easy to remove and holds very sturdy

sorry I have not been to the site for a little while so did not see the request. here you go is £3.39 incl postage.

It does not look much but with the iphone in place it is a good position for the sat nav app i have, is not intrusive on the dashboard, and is easily removable. for this price i just could not justify over £30 for the brodit, and I did not like the fact that the brodit squeezed between the gap in the dash. Just thought over time that it would make a big gap that would not look nice..

I know this is an atrocious thread necro but having just bought one of these I can only confirm what a great little item it is.

If you want a cheap phone holder for your Roc then this is the one to get, could have been made with VW vents in mind, easy to remove without damage also.
