Standard GT ground clearance

Post by greenstick »

Hi

Can anyone tell me the ground clearance of a standard GT on 18" wheels please?

Need to check it'll go on the drive before I order.

Thanks

Does anyone know if the ground clearance specified on the vw website is with the car loaded at it's maximum weight, or with the standard height and no cargo or passengers.

It makes no difference which wheels are on it.

Whatever it is, it's far too high, which is why lowering is so popular.

I don't think the ground clearance is that big - I always cringe going over speed bumps! I do think the space in the wheel arch is stupid though.

^ Agreed, its the wheel arch gap that makes the stance look silly, hopefully picking up some -35mm springs next week, nothing too drastic.. Although the new KW coilies with ACC do look luuuurvely!
