Roc R: Thieves Target?

So nearly 2 weeks ago I had an attempted break in to my house at 3 in he morning, through the front window whilst I was sleeping!

Luckily they made a bit of noise and woke up a family member which scared them and they sped away in waiting car. They were young 17-21, opportunists and police say they saw my Roc R and were after the keys.

I wanted to see if anyone else has had this or similar thing happen and whether the Roc's are becoming a target such as the BMWs?

R's are quite rare and desirable so they may well be a target, TBH i am also on a MK5 GTi forum and i have heard far more stories on mk5's being taken than i have Rocos , and i dont recall hearing of a single R being taken (probably down to its rarity).

I don't think many people even know what the R is,there was someone on the R forum who had there golf pinched

It depends what they want it for, if its to commit further crimes then they prefer not to get 2 door cars.

Most moderen cars need the keys now in order to be "stolen"

My neighbour was broken into . Police said they were after the keys for his Audi A3 3.2.

I tell you what i would rather own a Scirocco R over a 5 door Audi S3 ??!!!, thieves love these.

Hide your spare keys or better still give them to a mate. I now sleep with keys under my pillow 

And Roc over A3 any day..

Absolute waste of space people who does this there just hopeing to come and find car keys on kitchen sides etc
